Brookhaven police search for suspects in theft, burglary-assault

On Sunday, Brookhaven police received a report of a vehicle stolen from the Walmart parking lot. The missing vehicle is a silver Ford Taurus with Copiah County license plates.

Walmart provided security video surveillance to BPD of the suspect.

BPD is asking the public for assistance in identifying the individual.

BPD Chief Kenneth Collins also reminds area shoppers to remove their keys, lock their doors and put all personal belongings out of sight before leaving their vehicles to help discourage burglary and theft.

BPD is also asking the public to help locate Roy Dwayne Coleman. Coleman is wanted for burglary of a dwelling, as well as the robbery and assault of the two occupants of the dwelling.

Anyone with information on the location of Coleman or the unidentified individual is asked to call BPD at 601-833-2424.
