Videographer makes new home in Brookhaven
Daniel Williams is bringing a new modern take on filmmaking to Brookhaven.
Raised in Coden, Alabama, Williams got his first camera when he was 12 years old.
“I realized as a kid how much I love making videos, being creative and telling a story,” he said.
From ages 15 to 18, Williams worked as a shipfitter and a welder. However, he knew that he wanted to start his own business.
At 17, Williams became interested in flying drones and built a small business off of aerial videography. His first film projects were filming boat launches and speedboats designed for Navy SEAL training. Now, at 23, he does videography full time.
“I’m thankful for the fun opportunities I’ve had so far, traveling coast to coast, filming with the BBC, the Discovery Channel, in the coffee industry and more. I’m getting to do what I love every single day,” he said.
Williams has been working out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, until recently when he and his family decided to make the switch to Brookhaven. The location will provide closer business trips to Nashville, Birmingham and Atlanta. He believes it’s also a great place to raise his two boys.
“We’ve only been here a few days and absolutely love the community here in Brookhaven! It’s the perfect combo of small-town charm with up-and-coming businesses,” he said.
Williams looks forward to helping the business and community of Brookhaven showcase what they have to offer. He says that his favorite part of his job is working with small companies to create a piece of material that they are excited to promote to their clients.
“It’s top priority for me to combine great customer service with efficiency and excellence during the process. I love building long-term relationships with my clients, with videos that provide immediate and long-lasting bang for their buck,” Williams said.
