Castles celebrates 30 years in business
Cathy Oldham, owner of Castles women’s boutique, just celebrated the 30th anniversary of opening her store in Brookhaven.
After graduating from Brookhaven High School, Oldham attended Mississippi State University to get her degree in marketing. She started her career in pharmaceutical sales, and spent a brief bit of time in Colorado working at a ski resort.
She said she felt called to come back to Brookhaven and pursue her dream of fashion. She remembers her love of women’s clothing as early as 12 years old. She opened her store in 1991, and named it Castles after her grandfather.
At the 30th Anniversary celebration, Oldham treated her guests to a variety of 30% off sales, refreshments and fellowship. The Chamber of Commerce presented Oldham and her family with a plaque and a ribbon cutting celebrating the accomplishment.
